Troy joined the Milwaukee Bucks at the end of season 2015-16 as the Director of High Performance. In 2021, he was promoted to Vice President, Performance. Troy has built a world class high performance program to support the preparation of the team. During this time at the Bucks, they progressively become one of the best performing teams in the NBA.
US OLYMPIC Ski AND
In 2007, Troy was hired as the Director of Sport Science and oversaw the preparation of the U.S. Olympic Ski and Snowboard teams for the Vancouver Olympics. After Vancouver, he was promoted to High Performance Director and oversaw the preparation for the Sochi Olympics. The team more than doubled its previous medal tally compared to previous Olympics.
VICTORIAN INSTITUTE OF SPORT
Troy stared his career in sport science at the Victorian Institute of Sport in Melbourne, Australia as a sport science intern. Later he returned to the VIS as the Head of Sport Science and oversaw the sport science program for the Athens Olympic Games. The VIS was the state-funded body responsible for preparing approximately 30% of the Australian Olympic Team during this time.
RMIT SPORT SCIENCE & RESEARCH UNIT
After Troy graduated from RMIT University, he ran a commercial sport science laboratory at RMIT University. This Unit serviced various Olympic and professional athletes, including AFL football. During this time, Troy spent significant time working with the VIS Soccer Program, Essendon Football Club and Olympic Shooters. In addition, Troy was an active researcher and technology developer in the RMIT Aerospace Engineering Department's sports technology design group.
